🕵️‍♀️ There’s a mystery afoot in the WAY Forensic Science class! Students are officially on the case, analyzing evidence, examining data, and working together to figure out “who done it.” 🔎📋

Projects like this are just one example of how WAY Livingston+ makes learning engaging, hands-on, and flexible for students who may not thrive in a traditional classroom setting.

WAY Livingston+ is designed for students who:
• Want to finish high school outside of a traditional classroom
• Need support staying on track to graduate
• Want access to advanced classes not offered at their school

With 24/7 access to certified teachers, students can complete coursework anytime and learn at their own pace — while still building connections through our Learning Lab at the Ed Center and interactive projects led by our incredible teachers. ✨

Congratulations to the Michigan Adult, Community and Alternative Education Association (MACAE) on this well-deserved recognition, and a special congratulations to LESA’s own Director of Adult and Alternative Education, Ted Kroll, who serves as President of MACAE! 👏

We are incredibly fortunate to have staff members who not only make an impact here at LESA, but also dedicate their time and leadership to organizations that support communities across Michigan. From serving on boards to helping lead statewide initiatives, their work reaches far beyond our walls.

We’re also proud to support these efforts by hosting meetings and events at the Ed Center, including welcoming MACAE for their Literacy Summit earlier this year.

MACAE was recently honored by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity with the System Support Award, recognizing our outstanding commitment to strengthening Michigan’s adult education system. This award highlights MACAE’s ongoing partnership, advocacy, and support, which help programs thrive and expand opportunities for learners across the state.
