🌫️ NOTICE: SMOKE IN THE AREA 🌫️

Bosque County residents may notice smoke or a smoky haze in the air this afternoon. The smoke is coming into our area from a fire in Palo Pinto County and may be visible or noticeable across portions of Bosque County.

At this time, the smoke you are seeing does NOT necessarily mean there is a fire in Bosque County. Wind conditions can carry smoke a significant distance from an active fire.

🚒 Our local first responders and emergency management will continue to stay aware of conditions in our area.

Please remember: If you see an actual fire, flames, or a distinct column of smoke nearby, do not assume it is related to the Palo Pinto County fire, report it to 911.

With our current dry conditions, we appreciate everyone remaining cautious and helping us keep Bosque County safe.

Please keep everyone affected in your thoughts and prayers. A lot of loss going on involving our neighbors South of us. Continue to follow the Hamilton County, Texas Sheriff's Office posts for updates. And please remember to be mindful of how incredibly dry and hot it is outside. One spark could start a wildfire.
