Oh it's time again for a photo dump!
Here are kids currently jn care, and some that have been released!

I'm so behind on updates, but slowly catching up now that I have less babies needing feedings.

And yes, I really like sleeping baby squirrel pictures lol. They always pick the funniest positions!

And this my friends is why we say you don't want to keep that baby squirrel 😆
These babies were hand fed after being orphaned, and not a single one of them likes me now that they are weaned.

This is one part of rehabbing that makes setting them free when they are ready a bit easier... When they start to growl, lunge and bite I'm ready to say good bye and watch them live out their little lives like they were meant to!

Sometimes the loss in rehab is really hard. It's hard to turn away animals when you're full, or when it's late at night.

But something that definitely helps, is a break to just look at adorable sleeping squirrels. These babies are from different litters, different towns, different ages, but here they snuggle and find comfort in each other. We can't save them all, but those we can, heal us.

If you're in the middle of this heat wave like we are, consider putting some water out for our wild friends!

Make sure bowls are shallow enough for the smallest critters to hop out, or make a ramp of rocks or sticks.

Check pools frequently! Especially the skimmer! We've had everything from frogs to turtles to groundhogs in our pool over the years needing rescue.

If you find an animal in your pool, or suffering from heat stress, contain the animal in a box, crate or tote and immediately reach out to a rehabber for advise! It's always super helpful if you send a video.

Introducing the great pirate Grey Beard!
Why is he a pirate? I really couldn't tell you 😆

Something about his little torn ear, half missing tail and injured foot all while hating me with every fiber of his little being while locked in his "cell"... I just can't stop imagining him with a little pirate hat

Hopefully he will only be locked in the brig for another week or so while his leg heals. His other injuries seemed old and healed, showing his life of fighting off anyone who might try to steal his loot!

Thankfully his captors (rescuers) are ready to welcome him back to his home turf to lead his crew of other feisty critters when he's recovered.

Let's hope he doesn't stage an escape in the meantime

For anyone who has met up with me to being me a little critter, you have probably also met Edna!

Well, today at the gas station I always go to the employee looked in and said "Oh! You're the skeleton passenger lady!"

And all I could think to say was "Yeah!!"
Because yes, I am the skeleton passenger lady now 😆

This video is from a bit ago (right now the plants are hiding most of my view) but I love seeing the neighborhood crows visit the garden!

I've just added a pond with it's own camera, can't wait to see who else may visit!

I'll probably never be super consistent with posting during the baby season. Not because my phone isn't FULL of adorable pictures... It definitely is.

It's been a rough critter week, and I was a bit down in the dumps, but current babies are doing well and I hope they all continue to!

Here is a very cute video of one of my orphans getting 2 friends! You can tell the little one is so excited! While the other two are more curious about their new digs lol

Just some cute baby bunnies!
These guys are weaned from mom, even though they are only about tennis ball sized!

See a bun like this in the yard? Unless it is lethargic, injured, or surrounded by flies it's just fine on its own. If possible, keep dogs and cats inside or leashed until they move on. They aren't quite at full speed yet!
