A heartfelt thank you to the volunteers from the First Congregational Church of Reading UCC for preparing and serving a homemade meal for our guests at Mitch’s Place this week! ❤️

The group brought chicken spaghetti, salad, homemade cookies and brownies, and spent the evening serving our community with kindness and care.

This was their first time donating a meal since before COVID and their first time serving on-site. We are so grateful for their support and look forward to welcoming them back again soon!

Emmaus staff laced up their sneakers and came together for our annual Walk for Hunger in support of The Greater Boston Food Bank 👟❤️

We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon walking the Winnekenni Basin Loop, spending time together outside the office while supporting a cause that helps provide food to individuals and families facing hunger across our region.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Emmaus table at Greater Lawrence Family Health Center's Community Resource Day last Friday at Campagnone Common Park! 🤝🏘️

It was a great opportunity to connect with community members, share information about our programs and services and learn more about the many resources available throughout the Greater Lawrence area.

Thank you to Greater Lawrence Family Health Center and their community partners for bringing together so many organizations dedicated to supporting our community. We were grateful to be part of it!

Donation Spotlight! 🌎📦

A big thank you to Cabot Corporation for their generous donation in recognition of Sustainability Day last week! Their team donated 100 supply bags for Mitch’s Place and our Permanent Supportive Housing program, along with 50 bagged lunches for our Family Shelter — a monthly act of kindness they’ve continued for the past two years 🥪💙

We are so grateful for partners like Cabot whose ongoing support helps us care for our community in meaningful and consistent ways ✨

A huge thank you to Wellness Pet Food for spending time with us last week as part of their Global Day of Service! 🫶

Their team rolled up their sleeves to cook a delicious beef stew meal at Mitch’s Place and helped support distribution efforts for our guests and community members. We’re so grateful for their time, compassion and commitment to giving back.

Thank you to The Savings Bank-TSB and The Savings Bank Charitable Foundation for their generous support of Emmaus through the Foundation’s 29th distribution of funds 💙

This year, the Foundation awarded a total of $74,000 to 24 nonprofit organizations throughout the community. Since its establishment in 1997, the Foundation has contributed more than $1 million to local organizations making a meaningful impact.

We are grateful to be among the organizations supported and appreciate The Savings Bank’s continued commitment to strengthening our community.
