Check out the incredible Wildcat art featured this month in our Art In Our Community program!

This program seeks to recognize our students for outstanding work in the visual arts. Several area businesses are participating in this program, including the Cass County Public Library, Community Bank of Harrisonville, Commerce Bank, Schroeder Chiropractic, the Chamber of Commerce, Harrisonville Community Center, the Board of Education Room, The Wellness Counseling Center, Culver’s, and Sherwood Community Bank.

Bright Futures Harrisonville is looking for families, organizations, churches, and other groups interested in helping a family in need this holiday season. The Adopt-A-Family program matches families with generous adopters in our community.

Groups who adopt a family will be provided with a wish list, along with clothing sizes. Adopted families will be asked to give two ideas in the following categories: Something You Want, Something You Need, Something to Wear, Something to Read & Something to Eat. Adopters will be asked to provide a minimum of one item from each category (within reason).

If you are interested in adopting a family, please email Paige Welhoff at [email protected] or call 380-2727, ext. 1221 and indicate the family size you would like to adopt (small: 1-2 children, medium: 3-4 children, large: 5 or more children) by November 6.

Adopters will receive the family’s wish list by Thanksgiving and will be asked to deliver the presents to the Nazarene Church on December 13.

Youth Soccer Night is TONIGHT! ⚽
Come out and support our Wildcats at Harrisonville Memorial Stadium as our Wildcats take on Excelsior Springs and we recognize Harrisonville Youth Soccer Teams.

All Harrisonville Soccer Club youth players will be recognized at halftime during the Varsity game! Bring your family, wear your blue, and cheer on our Wildcats!💙🐾⚽️

Cass Career Center is getting some well-deserved national attention! 💚
In late September, Education Week, a national news publication covering K-12 education, visited CCC to see firsthand the incredible learning opportunities happening for our students. Their recently published article highlights how CCC integrates math and English into career and technical education, helping students connect what they learn in the classroom to the skills they'll use in their future careers.

We already know how special Cass Career Center is, from the dedicated instructors to the opportunities students have to explore their interests, develop career skills, and prepare for life after high school. It's exciting to see the great work happening at CCC receive recognition beyond our community!

A big thank you to Education Week for visiting and sharing the amazing things our students and staff are doing!

Here’s what we’re collecting each day:
📦 Monday: Boxed Meals & Sides (Hamburger Helper, mac & cheese, pasta, rice, instant potatoes)
🥫 Tuesday: Canned Fruits & Vegetables (green beans, corn, peas, carrots, peaches, pears)
🥜 Wednesday: Proteins & Soups (canned chicken, tuna, dried meats, peanut butter, beans, chili, soups)
🛒 Thursday: Everything Else! (Any non-perishable food item)
🚫 Friday: No School!
Thank you for helping us make a difference! 💙✨

Our annual Trunk-or-Treat on the Square is this Sunday from 3-5 p.m. This is a free event for families! We do have a couple of important notes, so please spread the word!

🚨 Independence Street from the four-way stop to the square is closed for repaving. Families should park in the city lots by the library and enter the square from other access roads (Lexington, Wall, Pearl or Independence at the north end)

🚨 There is no "starting" point for this event. Please enter the square and begin in the inner or outer loop from any point.

🥫 Be sure to bring non-perishable food items for our local food pantry. The collection point will be located in front of Crouch, Spangler on the southeast corner.

We can't wait for this event and look forward to seeing all the amazing costumes! 🎃👻

Next week is our Trick-or-Treat So Tots Can Eat District Wide Food Drive! 🥫
Our food drive runs October 26–29 in partnership with the Shepherd's Staff Food Pantry! Bring in non-perishable food items each day to help support local families in need.

📚 Celebrating Academic Excellence at HHS! 🎉

This morning, Harrisonville High School celebrated the outstanding academic achievements of our Wildcats during the Fall Excellence in Academics Recognition!

Students were recognized for their academic success during the 2025-26 school year, including those who earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and juniors and seniors who finished in the top 15% of their class.

We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to academic excellence!

A special thank you to the Harrisonville Public School Foundation and Harrisonville High School Academic Booster Club for their continued support of student achievement and for helping make these recognitions possible. We also appreciate the families who joined us to celebrate!
