A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the recent Joiner Fair, co-hosted by Grosse Pointe Public Library, The War Memorial and The Family Center of Grosse Pointe and Harper Woods!

🗣️ Best-selling author Priya Parker (The Art of Gathering) joined WDET's Ann Delisi for a conversation about the importance of human connection and how to gather together more
🤝 Guests mingled and engaged with many local civic organizations, nonprofits, and clubs
📚 ✍️ Next Chapter Books facilitated book signing and sales
💬 We handed out Conversation Kits to help attendees get talking with family and friends
🎥 We held free pre-event screenings of Join or Die, the documentary that inspired it all

"I love walking into the library on Saturday mornings, smiling at the front desk friends near the door, walking up the stairs to wave to the librarians up there, sitting at a table to overlook the street, and studying my heart out. Coffee shops are too loud. The people, the environment [at the Woods branch], I love it all! Thank you for providing a quiet + safe space!"
