Neighbor to Neighbor

Neighbor to Neighbor Clients are referred by Greenwich Department of Social Services and local social service agencies, schools and religious institutions.

Neighbor to Neighbor strengthens the Greenwich community by providing access to nutritious food, clothing, and other essentials in an atmosphere of kindness and respect. We provide free weekly food to over 1,100 Greenwich residents and free clothing and household items to 2,600 residents of Greenwich, Stamford and Port Chester (NY). Donations of food, clothing, household items and funds are always welcome. We receive no government funding and rely solely on private donations to run our programs.

It was an honor to receive an award from The Women's Club of Greenwich for their Annual Philanthropy Tea. 🫖🌹

President Fran Unrine and Committee Chair Christine Rossi shared some kind words on NtN and our continued partnership. We thank Annemarie Gordon for presenting us with the check. 🤝

Furthermore, we greatly appreciated the generous donation of feminine care products. Cheers to a great event! 🥂

Thank you Greenwich Reform Synagogue for hosting a food drive with us. It was a pleasure getting to meet the students and to be able to share Neighbor to Neighbor’s mission. BIG thank you to the young helpers for braving the cold and bringing the food donations directly to our van. We are so grateful for the generosity and support. 💚

In honor of Black History Month, we are celebrating Shirley Chisholm, the first African American woman elected in Congress. She played a pivotal role in creating the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), as well as expanding and improving food assistance programs.

Her legacy continues in helping millions of families supported by WIC and her role in shaping modern, federal nutrition programs. It's thanks to pioneers, like Shirley, that allow us to keep fulfilling our mission in supporting the Greenwich community.

Happy Black History Month! ❤️🖤💚
