Booked the venue? Four things are still open.

You have the date and the place. That's the big decision, and it's done.

Here's what tends to stay undecided in a Nevada County wedding:

Where the ceremony goes if the weather turns
What your day looks like, hour by hour
Where your guests stand, sit and eat
Who runs it so you aren't the one answering questions

Pick one and settle it this week. Then the next.

Snow hit Basia and Joseph's wedding day.

Their indoor/outdoor ceremony at River Highlands Ranch in Smartsville was the plan. Grass Valley and Nevada City were snowy, and the snow at the ranch was already melting.

So the ceremony moved into the barn. We opened the doors for natural light, then closed them for the evening.

The reception tables were preset, then moved into place after the ceremony. Skipping the aisle petals made that room flip faster.

The flowers leaned Hawaiian: white roses, orchids, monstera and palms. The groom's sister led the design.

If you're planning a Nevada County wedding with an outdoor ceremony, write your Plan B before the forecast changes.

Your date is the first thing I want to know.

Not the venue, not the vision, not whether the budget is locked in yet. Just the date. That's where availability starts.

If you're planning a wedding in Nevada County, the Sacramento foothills, or the surrounding area, this is a good time to reach out. I take a limited number of weddings each year, and summer and fall book well in advance.

I offer two packages: Wedding Day Management, for couples who've done most of the planning and need someone experienced to own the day, and Wedding Planning and Coordination, for couples who want support from the start.

Both include planning calls, a detailed timeline, rehearsal coordination, and ten hours on site on your wedding day.

Comment with your wedding year and I'll let you know if your date is open.

This is the moment I show up to protect.

Not just the ceremony. The raised hands. The guests on their feet. The couple who has nothing left to worry about except the fact that they just got married.

I'm Dallas. I coordinate weddings in the Grass Valley area and Sacramento foothills. What I do is make sure every decision, every vendor, every cue is handled before you ever reach this moment.

Share this if you know someone planning a wedding right now.

The bridal party looked like a garden.

Elana's crew wore Birdygrey for the wedding at Schrammsberg Estate in Nevada City. Earthy greens, soft purples, blush, all of it pulling together across the photos.

That's one of the things couples underestimate when they're deep in planning. The choices you make six months before the day are the ones that show up in every image.

Dress selection, color coordination, styling choices. They all get locked in long before the wedding morning. The couples who feel most at ease on the day made those calls early.

If you're in that six-to-nine month window and still working through the details, that's exactly when to have a coordinator in your corner.

Send me a DM and tell me where you are in your planning.

This is Elana, at her own reception.

Not answering a vendor question. Not chasing down a timeline. Not managing anything. Just in her dress by the water at Schrammsberg Estate in Nevada City, lifting the hem as the light caught it.

That's what a well-run day looks like from the outside.

Save this for when someone asks you if hiring a coordinator is worth it.

Cade and Elana said something in their review I keep coming back to.

"Nearly every one of them had worked with her before and spoke highly of her."

That comes from ten years of working in Nevada County. Knowing which vendors show up on time, which ones communicate clearly, which ones handle pressure without passing it to the couple.

When your vendors know each other, the day runs differently.

What Nevada County vendors are already on your list? Drop them below and I'll tell you if I've worked with them.

The tip nobody gives you about family photos.

Book more time than your photographer asks for. For most weddings, the planned window for family formals fills faster than expected.

Someone is always in the bathroom. A grandparent needs a chair. The shot list shifts when someone realizes a sibling got left off. And once you're behind, that delay follows the rest of the day.

When your timeline is padded for this, nobody rushes. The photos are better, and the people in them look like they're actually enjoying themselves.

Your coordinator should have your full family photo list before the wedding day. If yours doesn't, add that to your checklist.

Elana found her dress at Flora and Lane.

The floral embroidery across the bodice, the V-neckline, the way the skirt moved from the getting-ready room all the way through the ceremony and reception at Schrammsberg Estate in Nevada City. Every photo from that day shows you why she chose it.

Still searching for yours? Flora and Lane is worth a visit.

If you've already found your gown, drop the designer below.

This is what a reception looks like when the timeline holds.

The first dance, the toasts, the dinner. All of it runs on a schedule nobody hands the couple. Nate Vallejo of Someone Said Yes handled the music, and the result shows.

When a coordinator and DJ are working the same plan, Elana and Cade get to stand on a bridge at Schrammsberg Estate in Nevada City in the evening light, not thinking about what comes next.

The bridge, the lights, the creek. None of that is staged. The time and space to be there for it? That's built into the day.

Share this with a couple who's still in the planning thick of it.
