Over 25 years, Faith in Action Georgetown has helped seniors get to many places: medical appointments, errands, grocery trips, dinners, Christmas shopping, baseball games, and so many everyday stops in between.

Some rides are practical. Some are social. Some become cherished memories.

Whether you've joined us for lunch at Mulligan’s, a holiday shopping trip, or used our services to get to an important appointment, we are delighted to be part of your journey.

And thank you to every volunteer who has helped our clients get where they needed and wanted to go.

Eligible seniors can request free volunteer rides for appointments, errands, and important stops.

Through Go-Van-Go, we also offer scheduled grocery trips and social outings, giving clients a chance to get out, take care of what they need, and enjoy good company along the way.

Sometimes, one of the best ways to feel more connected is to focus a little less on ourselves and a little more on someone else. 💛

A study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that adults over 50 who volunteered about two hours a week reported higher optimism and purpose, along with lower loneliness.

At Faith in Action, volunteering can look like giving a ride, making a call, being a Buddy, helping with events, or showing up behind the scenes. However you serve, your time helps older adults stay connected, supported, and cared for.

A little time can go a long way for someone else, and it might just do something good for you, too
