Responsible Financial Stewardship Matters

Georgetown ISD is committed to responsible financial management and maintaining a balanced budget.

🎖 The district has earned a 98/100 “Superior” FIRST financial rating, reflecting strong financial management practices, accountability and transparency. GISD also maintains a top-tier Moody’s A1a credit rating, reflecting its financial integrity and low credit risk.
⚖️ GISD has maintained a balanced budget while keeping its tax rate among the lowest in Williamson County. The district would remain among the lowest if the 6-cent increase of Prop A passes at the rate of $1.11.

UPDATED 2:02 PM:

We have received the all clear from law enforcement officials, and the secure hold has been lifted. Students continue about their school day and are free to exit and enter exterior doors. Shuttles between the FRC and Georgetown High School are resuming.

We are grateful for the quick work of our SROs and Georgetown PD and for the support and cooperation of our students and staff.

GHS remains on a secure hold while GPD investigates. Students and staff remain safe in their classrooms, and shuttles between GHS and FRC remain on hold.

McNeil High School students Soum and Smit dropped off 175 books for Georgetown ISD students after spending the summer leading a book drive with Sewa International - Austin.
