On June 29, 2026, Gregory Green was riding his motorcycle on Bristol Road when he was hit and killed by a vehicle allegedly driven by Miranda Krueger.
On June 20, 2026, Derek Self was driving when a truck allegedly driven by Christian Cooligan ran a red light and collided with his vehicle, killing Self.
Last week, the 67th District Court authorized warrants for both individuals. Krueger faces charges of Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death and Reckless Driving Causing Death. Cooligan faces charges of Second-Degree Murder and Open Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.
Following the authorization of the warrants, Flint Township Police investigators quickly located and apprehended the suspects. Krueger and Cooligan are now lodged at the Genesee County Jail. Cooligan is being held without bond, and Krueger was given a $400,000 bond.
Alcohol and/or drugs were involved in both cases. Two people are dead, and their families are left to live with the consequences of someone else's choices.
If you drive impaired, you are making a choice to put other people's lives at risk. There is no excuse, and no ride is worth another family's loss. Don't drink and drive. Don't use drugs and drive. Make the right choice before it's too late.
Flint Township Police will continue working to hold those responsible accountable
