Greatness recognizes greatness.

Fast Eddies on Miller Road brought the best wrestler in the world to meet the best police department in the County.

RIP Hulk. Remember, take your vitamins, say your prayers, and stay out of trouble, brother. đź’Ş

What does a car dealership and the police department have in common?

Usually…absolutely nothing.

But today, it was 11 stranded ducklings in a storm drain.

Big thanks to Danny and Anthony from the Shea Automotive Group for jumping in to help with the rescue. And by “jumping in,” we mean voluntarily going head-first into a storm drain while we held onto his legs like a scene from an action movie nobody asked for.

Thankfully, all 11 ducklings were rescued.

Proof that sometimes it takes cops, car guys, and questionable decision-making to get the job done.

Sometimes it’s the small things that remind us what community really means.

Fired Up Ceramics inside the GVM took the time to handcraft these bowls for each of our officers, and then went a step further and filled them with homemade chili.

No catch. No strings. Just a solid gesture from people who get it. It’s more than just a meal. It’s support, appreciation, and a reminder that we’re all in this together.

Thank you to Teresa and Bill for your kind gesture!

**As of 11:30pm, westbound I-69 is open**

**Traffic Alert**

Westbound I-69 is shut down at Bristol Road. All traffic is being diverted. Multiple vehicles that may have 18-ish wheels are stuck in the narrowed construction zone. MDOT is currently working on a solution that may involve complete temporary closure of I-69.

Please plan accordingly.

On April 2nd, officers from the Flint Township Police Department responded to a report of a disturbing incident at a local clothing store. A male subject entered the store, exposed himself, and began fondling himself while standing near young female customers.

Store employees immediately confronted the individual and called 911. The suspect left the store prior to officers arriving.

Detectives reviewed the case and quickly recognized the suspect. Further investigation also revealed the suspect has a criminal history that includes active probation for similar offenses. Through follow-up investigative work, detectives were able to locate the suspect at a residence in Gaines Township, where he was taken into custody without incident.

We appreciate the store employees who immediately confronted the behavior and contacted police. Their quick actions allowed investigators to move quickly and bring the suspect into custody.

On April 8th, 2026 Nicholas Dale Sweet was arraigned by the 67th District Court on a charge of:

Aggravated Indecent Exposure

**Road Closure**

Due to heavy rainfall, both directions of Linden Road are closed just south of Bristol Road.

Spring wouldn’t be Spring without at least one road underwater.

🚨 NOW HIRING: POLICE OFFICERS 🚨

Let’s call it what it is.

Some departments are drowning in politics.
Some reward doing the bare minimum.
Some have forgotten what this job is supposed to be.

If you’re showing up, doing real police work, and carrying people who don’t — you already know the problem.

And if you’re tired of it, you don’t have to stay.

This is a place for officers who still want to work, who take pride in being proactive, and don’t need to be micromanaged to do the job right.

We’re building a culture where:
• Effort isn’t punished, it’s expected
• Good cops aren’t buried under dead weight
• Leadership backs officers who handle business the right way

This job is hard. It should be.
But working with people who don’t care shouldn’t be part of it.

If you’ve been stuck thinking, “this isn’t what I signed up for”…
You’re probably right.

So make the move. Lateral positions open now
Bring your experience somewhere it actually matters.

No politics. No nonsense. Just the job.

And if you're in a stale career and looking for a change, we'll hire and sponsor recruits through a regional police academy. You'll be provided all the tools needed for a successful career as a police officer at Flint Township.
