Last night the department held a Family Cook-Out/Pool Party to show it's appreciation to our members families at the Fairfield Public Pool. Being a firefighter comes with a lot of early mornings, late nights, missed meals, missed holidays, and missed moments with family. The families are one of the backbones to our department and we can't thank them enough for sacrificing their time away so we can serve our community when the call comes!

Fairfield City Firefighters, along with Fairfield Rural Firefighters battled the heat at the Quail Ridge Farm Running Ultra today. Each lap is 4 miles with a 1 hour time limit, after the hour is up you start the next lap or accept defeat. Congrats on your achievement today men, your departments are proud!

Went over SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
Learned where to positions engines and ladder on structures

07-15-26 Drill Night (We forgot to get pictures 🤦‍♂️)
Went over different types of ladders, how to set up and tie off ladders, leg lock, Hook 2 Grab 4 (firefighter bailing out of a window), victim removal through a window and taking them down the ladder safely.

Drill last night was set up in 3 station's. Captain Blanton went over SCBA and Self Locking Twin Donut Roll on hoses, Firefighter Jones did Radio Communication and Lieutenant Parrent discussed Personal Protective Equipment.
During training Captain Blanton, Firefighter Gregory and Firefighter Combs decided to have a friendly competition to see who could Don their PPE the fastest with Captain Blanton coming out on top!
