The Eliot Fire Department would like to extend a HUGE HAPPY RETIREMENT to our very own Assistant Chief Jimmy Roy. He is retiring today from the Eliot Highway Department after 36 years of service to the town. He started out as a part time employee and is retiring as Eliot Highway’s DPW Foreman. Thank you for keeping our town pretty and all of Eliot’s roads nice and clean during the winter months! We will miss seeing you drive the plows and dump trucks. ( He is not retiring from the EFD. Only public works )

This afternoon, the Eliot Police Department brought over their class of middle schoolers that are participating in the junior police academy this week for a tour of the fire station. The tour was led by our very own Eliot Firefighter Josie Grenier accompanied by her daughter on the hip along with Chief Muzeroll behind the camera. The group was able to sit down with FF Grenier and ask her all the questions they had. It’s so wonderful to see the new generation pushing themselves to the limits and trying new things outside of their comfort zone! We wish them luck this week as they continue their trainings to be future Police Officers.

EFD is currently working an MVA in the area of Goodwin Rd and Dover Eliot Road. The road is blocked for the protection of the firefighters and patients. Please avoid this area.

This past Saturday this group of dedicated Eliot Firefighters conducted several evolutions of fire control and suppression in an acquired structure. Temps in the high 80’s prevailed and for the safety of all involved the training was curtailed and the structure was demolished in a controlled burn for the rest of the day.

The EFD will be conducting a LIVE FIRE training burn this weekend 6/13 -6/14 in the area of Raitt Farm. Do not be alarmed if you see any kind of smoke in that area.

Our tank truck put in some work during today’s mutual aid response to Berwick. We assisted on scene for over 9 hours.
