Company 8 is very lucky to have dedicated members that respond when you need our help. Our response numbers are currently very healthy but we could always use more help. Volunteers are what makes our department reliable and available at any moment. We need even more volunteers. Please consider giving back to your community and joining Company 8!

At 3:05 this afternoon Company 8 was dispatch to a brush fire on Homestead Rd. with injury. Responding equipment included Engine 8-2, Tanker 8, Brush 8 and Crash 8. The fire burned approximately 2 acres and had spread into a wooded area. Crews quickly got the fire under control. Also responding was the Virginia Department of Forestry with their dozer and Central Rescue. Central Rescue transported one person with badly burned hands and forearms.
