Join us on May Day- here’s why and how!
🟧 MayDay is a moment for workers and their allies to stand in solidarity for people who have been hit hardest by this regime's brutal policies. Their fight is our fight!
🟧 Why this type of economic noncooperation now?
We’re going to need to be able to pull off wide-scale, nonviolent economic disruption in the future—like when Trump tries to sabotage the election. So we need to try it now to learn what our movement’s strengths are, where we need to support each other, and where we need to continue to build power. All the while showing the regime - and ourselves - a taste of what we are capable of when we all join together!
🟧 No Work, No School, No Shopping
We understand that not everyone’s circumstances will allow them to participate fully in walking out of work or school or even not shopping. And that’s okay—participate to the level that makes sense for you. The most important thing is that you take action in some way on May 1st and then continue to build towards even bigger action in the future.
In order to ensure that all coalition partners, including those from labor, can participate in this mobilization and encourage their members to participate in this mobilization, “No Work, No School, No Shopping” is intentionally not called a “strike.”
However you're able to participate individually, we hope that you can come together in proud, visible community for a march and rally in solidarity with local working people.
🟧 THE MARCH & RALLY: 4:30-6:30 PM, Heritage Park (Dwight & Heritage Sts), Holyoke
