Notice from Schaumburg & Polk Inc. regarding drone survey work taking place near H.G. Temple and Diboll High School campuses tomorrow.

Please be advised that a survey crew will conduct authorized drone (UAV) operations along Lumberjack Drive on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, between approximately 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. This activity is part of routine engineering design work related to ongoing utility infrastructure construction in the area and is a standard step in the survey process.

The survey crew will remain along the Lumberjack Drive right-of-way and will take precautions to avoid flying over school property. This activity is routine and poses no privacy or safety concerns to students or staff.

Writing strengthens thinking. ✍️

This summer, Diboll ISD English teachers from across all grade levels began the work of developing a district-wide writing plan. Writing is a transfer skill that reaches far beyond the English classroom. It helps students organize ideas, deepen understanding, communicate clearly, and think critically in every subject.

This work will continue throughout the year as we collect student writing samples, study what our students are producing, and identify where they need the most support. Our goal is simple: help every student become a stronger writer and, in turn, a stronger thinker.
