*Update*
Repairs are complete and water pressure has been restored.

There is a significant water main leak at the corner of Lumberjack Drive and North Temple Drive.

Water pressure will be affected while repairs are made.

The leak will most likely postpone scheduled repairs to the Pine Valley elevated tank to tomorrow.

Crews will remain on scene until the repair is made.

We will keep you updated.

Diboll’s Weekly FAQs

We’re excited to continue this project, created to bring clarity to some of the most common questions we receive. While not every answer may be exactly what you were hoping for, our goal is to help you better understand how your City works.

So whether you’re here to learn something new, challenge what you read, or just see what we’ll say next, you’re part of this conversation. And that’s the whole idea.

This Week’s Topic: How the City Operates After Hours and on Holidays

For clarity, all answers below apply to any time City Hall is closed—whether it’s evenings, weekends, holidays, or staff training days.

The Most Common Question We Receive:

“What if someone needs help when City Hall is closed?”
If someone is in danger, call 911 immediately.
Don’t wonder if it’s too late, too early, or a holiday—just call.
If you are not in danger, here are your options:

Water Leak, Low Pressure, or No Water
📞 Call (936) 829-HELP
An on-call employee will respond immediately.
Please do not call a plumber until we’ve inspected the issue and advised you to do so.

Sewer Stoppage or Overflow
📞 Call (936) 829-HELP
An on-call employee will respond immediately.
Again—don’t call a plumber until we’ve checked it out.

Absolutely.

Other Ways to Contact the City After Hours
📧 The City Manager checks email as often as humanly possible:
[email protected]

💬 Facebook messages and posts are not the best way to reach us quickly. Staff monitors the page, but posts may not be seen right away.

Here at the City, we take public service to heart. Business hours will never stand in the way of caring for our community. If you need anything, any time, any day, please reach out.

That’s it for this week’s FAQ!

Be safe out there Diboll!!!

*Water Pressure Has Been Restored*

LOW WATER PRESSURE NOTICE

Residents in the A Street, B Street, C Street, North First Street, Second Street, and Third Street areas may experience low water pressure over the next few hours as City crews work to isolate the elevated water tank on Pine Valley.

The elevated water tank is scheduled for repairs this Thursday after the tank sustained damage from two to three separate bullet holes.

The same areas may experience reduced water pressure at various times throughout the week. The affected area is expected to be larger on Thursday while the repairs are being completed.

We will continue to provide updates as work progresses and appreciate your patience as we complete these necessary repairs.

This Week’s Topic: Dueling Pianos — A Night of Fun for a Great Cause!

What’s happening this Saturday?
Get ready, Diboll — it’s time to DUEL! 🎹

This Saturday night, August 29, 58 Junction will host an exciting night of Dueling Pianos featuring Felix & Fingers, coming in from Houston for an evening packed with live music, comedy, sing-alongs, requests and plenty of audience participation.

This isn’t a show where you simply sit back and watch. You’re part of the entertainment!

Where and when is it?
📍 58 Junction
📅 Saturday, August 29

How much are tickets?
🎟️ Tickets are $45 each.

Why is this part of Diboll Day?
The best part is that you can have a great night out while also supporting Diboll Day!

Proceeds from the event will benefit Diboll Day and help support the activities that make this annual community celebration possible.

Will the Diboll Day Queen Candidates be there?
Absolutely!

All four Diboll Day Queen Candidates will be in attendance, and they will all benefit from the fundraising efforts of the evening. The candidates will be selling raffle tickets throughout the event and will also be auctioning items during the night.

So, in addition to enjoying a great night of entertainment, you’ll have an opportunity to support your favorite queen candidate and help raise money for Diboll Day!

What can I expect?
Expect an energetic night of music, requests, laughs and lots of singing. Grab your friends, come ready to participate and don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing a little louder than you planned! 😂

And be sure to bring a little extra cash, you’ll have opportunities to purchase raffle tickets and bid on auction items while supporting the queen candidates and Diboll Day.

How do I get tickets?
🎟️ Tickets are $40 and are available online at www.celebratedibollday.com.

If you’re planning to come, don’t wait until Saturday. Get your tickets now, gather your friends and get ready for a night of Dueling Pianos, all while helping support Diboll Day and our four queen candidates.

One night. Great music. Lots of laughs. Four queen candidates. And a great cause.

What other events are the queen candidates hosting?
We have tried to get their full schedules, but in true Diboll Day fashion, they are keeping their cards close to their chest! 😏

The best way to keep up with all the events and activities hosted by the queen candidates is to follow their pages:
