Through the efforts of SAFY of Ohio Senior Executive Director Tonya Brooks-Thomas and her fellow sorority members, SAFY was selected as the first agency to receive donations from Northwest Ohio and Central Ohio as the sorority begins a four-year commitment to supporting youth in foster care. Thank you to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority for donating 686 Duffel Bags of Dignity this weekend as part of Foster the Future: From Here to Hope.

Last week, clinicians from across SAFY came together in Indianapolis for the 2026 Clinical Summit. The event provided time to learn, collaborate, and strengthen the shared work of supporting youth and families, with keynote presentations and breakout discussions organized around this year's theme: Thrive Together.

Jennifer Haywood, LISW-S, LICDC-CS, founder of Haywood Counseling and adjunct professor in The Ohio State University's MSW program, delivered the keynote address on Wednesday.
