The 2026–2027 Free & Reduced Lunch Application is open!

Everyone is encouraged to complete a new application each year, even if you’ve qualified in the past.
Submit your application by September 1, 2026. A new application is required each year, and last year’s status will expire on September 18.

🦁♻️Our 3rd grade Nature's Helping Hands partnered with Amy Hartline at Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority to learn about the importance of recycling. Together, they completed a "Trash to Toys" activity to kick-off their upcoming Recycle Runway project!

🦁🦋🐝Last week, our 1st grade Pollinator Protectors met with their partners from UGA and the Whitfield County Extension & 4-H to learn about pollinators, do a pollination activity, and conduct the pollinator census! Together, they observed the courtyard garden in the morning and saw lots of bees! In the afternoon, they observed the big pollinator garden and saw lots of butterflies, moths, and even a big Monarch caterpillar! Our 1st grade Pollinator Protectors are so thankful to participate in the pollinator census each year with these special partners!

🦁🌱What a treat! Our Brookwood Elementary School PTO rocks our STEM world!

🎉 A $500 STEM surprise for Brookwood! 🦁🔬

Brookwood mom and longtime PTO member Ashley Hunter dropped off a $500 check today for the Brookwood PTO to use toward STEM projects this school year!

The donation came from Ashley’s company, Signal, following a fun company-wide Step Challenge this summer. Over the 61-day challenge, Ashley logged 575,091 steps and spent more than half of the challenge in 1st place before ultimately finishing 3rd.

The 1st-place winner generously chose to give his $500 nonprofit donation to Ashley, knowing how much the cause meant to her. Ashley chose to donate the money to Brookwood PTO to help fund STEM projects for our students this year.

We are incredibly grateful to Signal for making this opportunity possible, to Ashley for choosing Brookwood, and to her coworker for such a thoughtful and generous gesture. ❤️ 🦁🔬
