🦁📢Our last day of school is Friday! It is an Early Release Day, and our Lions will be dismissed at 12:15pm. Please note: ASP will not be available. ☀️

Next Friday is the last day of school, and we’re sending students into summer with an early release across the district.

Early Release Times:
Elementary Schools: 12:15 PM
Hammond Creek Middle & Dalton Junior High: 11:30 AM
The Dalton Academy & Dalton High: 10:45 AM

🦁🏅Lion pride on display!

Since 2019, the Don Amonett Cup has recognized outstanding school spirit and participation across Dalton Public Schools. Named in honor of longtime educator and proud Dalton native Don Amonett, this prestigious award celebrates the school that goes above and beyond in engaging with district-wide events and initiatives throughout the year. We’re proud to announce that the 2025–2026 winner of the Don Amonett Cup is Brookwood Elementary! Please join us in congratulating them on this well-deserved recognition.

🪴Today from 3:30pm - 4:30pm, our Kindergarten Plant Sale is open to the public! You can check-in through the front office. We hope to see you there!

📚Next week is the BOGO (buy one, get one) Book Fair! We will be open all week and during both of our Field Days. If your favorite Field Day event is reading, we will see you in the Media Center!

🦁🐦Our Pre-K STEM Scouts had a very special guest this week! Mr. David DesRochers, an Ornithologist from Dalton State, did an amazing job teaching our Lions about different types of birds. They were able to safely trap a bird and band it for research. Our Lions observed the whole process and watched how he measured and weighed the bird before they set it free. Afterward, he visited their classrooms and showed our Lions different types of feathers and bird materials. We are so thankful for our community partners and for the knowledge and experiences they bring to our students!
