Our crew had a great time spending the day with the students and faculty, sharing important fire safety tips, answering questions, and teaching our young community members how they can help keep themselves and their families safe!

A huge THANK YOU to Eissler Elementary for welcoming us! We always enjoy the opportunity to connect with our students and help build a safer community! ❤️🚒

🔥 As Fire Prevention Month comes to an end, remember that fire safety is important ALL YEAR LONG!

✅ Check Your Smoke Alarms: Test smoke alarms monthly and make sure they are installed on every level of your home, inside bedrooms, and outside sleeping areas.

✅ Have an Escape Plan: Practice your family’s home fire escape plan, know two ways out of every room, and establish a safe meeting place outside.

✅ Stop, Drop, and Roll: If your clothes catch fire, stop moving, drop to the ground, cover your face, and roll until the flames are out.

✅ Charge Safely: Use manufacturer-approved chargers, avoid charging devices on beds or couches, and never charge damaged lithium-ion batteries.

✅ Stay Low and Go: If there’s smoke, stay low beneath it and get outside quickly. Once you’re out, stay out!

✅ Know When to Call 911: Teach children how and when to call 911 in an emergency.

Although October is coming to an end, our commitment to fire prevention and community safety never stops!

Thank you to all the schools, teachers, students, and families who helped make this year’s Fire Prevention Month a success!
