Last Saturday, the Bozman community came together for a morning of connection, celebration and fun at the inaugural DeBeaumont BIG 5K! 💙🐴

More than 100 students, families, staff and community members kicked off the morning at the 5K, named in honor of Mrs. DeBeaumont, current principal of Fowler Intermediate and former principal of Bozman Intermediate. Her lasting legacy at Bozman was built on love, excellence and doing what’s best for every Bronco. As an avid runner, honoring her with Bozman’s first 5K was the perfect tribute!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special day possible and to the Bozman community for continuing to celebrate a legacy that truly runs through the heart of every Bronco! 🏃‍♂️🏅

WEATHER UPDATE | Conroe ISD Closed Wednesday, September 2

Following a meeting with the National Weather Service and Montgomery County Emergency Management, the latest forecast indicates Tropical Storm Edouard is strengthening and is expected to move farther into our area this evening and directly impact our school district.

As a result, Conroe ISD will be closed on Wednesday, September 2. All schools and district offices will be closed, and all after-school activities are canceled.

We understand that weather conditions and individual circumstances can vary widely across our community. Conroe ISD spans 348 square miles, and while some areas may see relatively minor impacts, others may experience heavy rainfall, flooding, power outages, or hazardous road conditions. We must also consider that many of our bus drivers, teachers, and employees commute from areas that may be more heavily affected.

We know closing schools can create challenges for our families and employees, and we do not make this decision lightly. We appreciate your understanding as we make the best decision we can for the safety of our entire Conroe ISD community.

WEATHER UPDATE | Transportation Schedule Adjustment

Conroe ISD continues to monitor Tropical Storm Edouard and its potential impact on our area. Based on the latest information, we are making an adjustment to today’s afternoon transportation schedule to help ensure our buses can complete their routes safely and on time.

Today, Tuesday, September 1:
High school bus transportation is scheduled to begin 30 minutes ahead of the normal schedule.
Elementary school bus transportation is scheduled to begin 15 minutes ahead of the normal schedule.
Junior high and intermediate school buses will run on their normal schedule.

Car rider lines at high schools and elementary schools will also begin at the adjusted dismissal times.

These adjustments will help account for additional traffic and allow buses serving our junior high and intermediate campuses to remain on schedule.

At this time, Conroe ISD plans to have school as scheduled tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2. We will continue closely monitoring Tropical Storm Edouard and coordinating with local meteorologists and emergency management officials throughout the day.

Statement Regarding Bus Incident

This afternoon, a Campbell Elementary school bus was struck from behind by another vehicle near K**b Hollow and Jonquil Pathway in the Gleneagle subdivision. Sixteen students were on the bus, and two students were evaluated at the scene for minor injuries.

Following the collision, two occupants of the other vehicle fled on foot. The bus driver reported that one appeared to have a firearm. One suspect was detained, and the weapon was recovered. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Conroe ISD Police continue to search for the other suspect.

Because the search area was near Irons Junior High, the campus was placed in Secure Mode as a precaution.

We appreciate the quick action of the Conroe ISD Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and all other first responders who attended to our students and helped ensure the safety of our community.
