🔥🚒 IT’S FIRE PREVENTION WEEK! 🚒🔥

October 4–10, 2026

And apparently this year, we need to have a little chat about your charging habits. 👀🔌😂

This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme is:

⚡ “Charge Into Fire Safety™: Safe Charging Is a Superpower.” ⚡

Lithium-ion batteries power just about everything these days — phones, tablets, laptops, power tools, e-bikes, e-scooters… you get the idea. 🔋

Unfortunately, they can also cause some pretty serious fires when they’re damaged, improperly charged, or not treated with the respect they deserve.

So, a few friendly reminders from your favorite firefighters from Clementon Fire:

🔋 Your phone does not need to sleep under your pillow. It’s not cold.
🛋️ Your couch and bed are not charging stations.
🔌 That mystery charger you found in the junk drawer from 2017? Maybe it’s time to let it go. 😂
🔥 If a battery is swollen, damaged, unusually hot, leaking, or smells weird — “it’s probably fine” is NOT the answer.
🚪 And please don’t charge e-bikes or e-scooters where they could block your way out.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing more tips to help you safely use, charge, and dispose of lithium-ion batteries. ⚡🔋

And while we love our community, we’d much rather see you at the grocery store than at 2 AM while your charger is on fire. 😂🚒

⚡ Charge smart. Stay safe. Don’t make us come to your house. 🔥

Happy Fire Prevention Week from Clementon Fire! 🚒

🇺🇸 We Will Never Forget — September 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the bravery and sacrifice of the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, first responders, and everyday citizens who answered the call.

We remember the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, along with all those whose lives were forever changed that day.

25 years later, their courage, service, and sacrifice remain in our hearts.

From all of us at Clementon Fire-Rescue, we honor the fallen, their families, and all who continue to carry their memory.
