π£ The GC Dispatchers Associationβs PST of the Quarter Committee is proud to recognize PST Scott Shannon of Alarm Room B Shift as PST of the Quarter for the Fourth Quarter of 2025, as he was recently recognized.
PST Shannon began his career in Emergency Medical Services before transitioning to the Public Safety Telecommunicator role, bringing a strong foundation of field knowledge, situational awareness, and sound decision-making. These qualities have translated seamlessly into his work, where he consistently remains calm, focused, and effective under pressure. No matter the circumstances, he efficiently gathers critical information and provides clear, accurate direction to responders. Those who work alongside him know firsthand that very little rattles him β unless, of course, someone uses his trashcan.
Throughout his career, PST Shannon has handled countless high-risk and life-threatening calls with professionalism and confidence. Most recently, he played a key role in the response to the fatal accident and house fire in Harrison Township, where his composure and attention to detail were essential in ensuring effective communication during an extremely difficult incident. When emotions run high and seconds matter, he remains courteous, methodical, and focused on the safety of the public and responding units.
In addition to his technical skills, PST Shannon is consistently respectful, dependable, and supportive of his coworkers. He is always willing to lend a hand, share his experience, and step in when needed, contributing positively to team morale and operations within the communications center. His professionalism, work ethic, and steady presence make him a valued member of Alarm Room B Shift and the department as a whole.
Congratulations Scott on behalf of your colleagues, the Office of Emergency Management, & Department Administration.
