Certificate Categories Marketing Legal Business Operations & Licensing
October 29th 10:00 am to 11:30 am
Presented by The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection Office of Labor Standards and 2nd Story.
What if making your workplace more accessible was actually easier than you think? Creating a workplace culture that works for more people doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Many of the changes that make workplaces more accessible are free or low-cost, and they often make it easier for everyone to do their best work.
This webinar, part of the Creative Worker Rights, Art is Labor campaign, will explore practical ways to build flexibility and accommodation into your workplace culture, the business case for doing so, and examples of what this can look like in practice, even at a small organization. A City representative will also share information about relevant resources and considerations for employers. Expect practical ideas rather than just compliance information. Participants will leave with practical ideas for making their workplace more accessible, examples of approaches that can work in small organizations, and a better understanding of available resources and considerations for employers.
