We stand with Keshia Golden and criminalized survivors forced into positions no one should face to keep themselves and their families safe.

Keshia has a court date coming up next month. You can voice your support by signing this letter to State's Attorney Burke: https://bit.ly/4aJ9muR

We stand with survivors like Keshia, forced into impossible choices to protect themselves and their children. No one should live in fear. We are proud to sign onto the community letter of support for Keshia, and we urge the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office to recognize this tragedy as the result of the sustained domestic violence Keshia endured and drop the charges against her.

Action Alert 📢❗

The proposed Illinois state budget includes an almost 30% cut to the Illinois Access to Justice (ILA2J) program — funding that supports critical legal services and community-based outreach for Black, Brown, and immigrant communities across our state.

It's scary and concerning to think about the harm this could cause and how it could leave thousands without access to legal defense and support.

You can help, and it's quick and simple. Contact your legislator at this link to help protect access to justice for communities across Illinois:
