Truman may be the one on camera… but Afton apparently wanted a little attention too. 😂🦁🐅

I happened to hit record at just the right moment, and you can hear Afton starting one of his powerful caroling/roaring bouts in the background. Prides carol to announce their presence, mark territory boundaries, and warn roaming outsiders or rival lions this area is occupied.

Around here, even when you’re filming one resident, another may decide to join the show. ❤️🐾

Meet Ty - Ty is a very rare hybrid known as a tiliger. His mother was a liger and his father was a tiger, giving him a unique appearance and personality that make him one of the sanctuary's most recognizable residents.

Ty arrived from the same facility as Charlie in 2023 following the passage of the Big Cat Public Safety Act.
