SURPRISE! Niara Hit the Pumpkin Jackpot!

Who knew a pumpkin could be filled with such delicious surprises?!

Our beautiful lioness Niara discovered that her pumpkin wasn't just for playing with... it had YUMMY MEAT TREATS hidden inside!

And judging by how much she's enjoying herself, we'd say this pumpkin is a ROARING success!

Here at National Tiger Sanctuary, enrichment activities like this encourage our big cats to explore, investigate new scents, and use their natural instincts. And sometimes, all that hard work comes with a tasty reward!

If you were Niara, would you play with the pumpkin first or go straight for the goodies?

Come visit National Tiger Sanctuary near Branson, Missouri, and meet our amazing rescued animals!

TURN UP THE VOLUME! Niara has something to say!

The right place at the right time to capture this incredible moment of Niara caroling!

There's nothing quite like hearing one of our lions communicate up close. Just listen to her!

Have you ever heard a lion make this sound before? Let us know in the comments!

GOOD MORNING, BEAUTIFUL WORLD from Chika the lioness.

Be fierce when life calls for courage, gentle when someone needs compassion, and wise enough to know that both are beautiful strengths.

May your day be filled with a lioness's courage and a heart full of kindness.
