This week, we’re looking for cereal to help keep our shelves stocked. It’s a simple staple that makes a big difference for families—especially for quick breakfasts and easy meals.

If you’re able to donate, we’re grateful for your support in helping care for our neighbors 💛

On Friday, May 22nd, Beach Middle School will host a school-wide Move-A-Thon for all 6th-8th grade students at the Chelsea football stadium. This event is being organized by our Bulldog Wellness Warriors student group and is centered around the theme “Movement for Mental Health & Community.” The goal is to create an inclusive, positive experience that promotes physical activity, connection, and overall well-being for our students.

In addition to focusing on student wellness, we are using this opportunity to give back. We have chosen Faith in Action as the beneficiary of our fundraiser because of the meaningful impact your organization has on individuals and families in our community--providing food assistance, support with housing and utilities, clothing, and access to essential services.

As part of the event, families are invited to make optional donations, with a school-wide goal of raising $2,000.

We are also intentionally connecting this effort to Mental Health Awareness Month, helping students understand how acts of generosity and community support can positively influence their own sense of purpose and well-being.

We wanted to make you aware of this initiative and share how your organization will be highlighted and supported through our event. It is important to us that our students not only engage in movement and connection, but also understand the real impact they can have within their local community.

Thank you for all that you do to support our community.

Marie Larson, CSD Youth Mental Health Coordinator
Kristen Chandler, Project SUCCESS Coordinator

💛 Volunteer Appreciation Week 💛

This week, we’re celebrating the heart of Faith In Action — our incredible volunteers.

Last night, we had the joy of honoring them at our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. With over 120 active volunteers ready to serve, our work simply wouldn’t be possible without each and every one of you.

You show up. You care. You make a difference—every single day.

A heartfelt thank you to those who helped make the evening so special:
✨ Wesley's Catering for the wonderful meal
🍰 The Lakehouse Bakery
⛪ St. Mary of Chelsea for generously providing the space

To our volunteers—thank you for being the hands and feet of this mission. We are so grateful for you.

Pictured are two of our incredible volunteers, Jane Brooks and Teri Papp. 💛
