y awareness concerning the impacts of this current administration. We are working on different strategies based on the Indivisible Guide’s Mission and Vision while partnering with local organizations. TAG will have a regional focus that encompasses all issues that may affect the wider areas of TN, AL, GA, including cities such as Cleveland, Dalton, Ringgold, and Gurley. TAG will create a flexible movement that can host events regionally, and at times respond quickly to the changing circumstances in our communities. The goal of TAG is for us to be an additional resource for the wider region, to add bodies in the streets within the marginalized and under supported communities on protest days. We also hope to have the opportunity to collaborate with other local pro-democracy organizations in the area to meet these goals. We strongly encourage the community to find more than one organization to stand beside, learn from, and volunteer with. Many of the local organizations overlap to some degree, but we also tap into different communities, message in different ways, and frequently address different concerns. This is in the spirit of community, uniting with the resolve for a better world for future generations.

Don’t let your children forfeit their rights.
It’s important to start a habit to vote in every election, regardless of where they are (college, traveling, working)
Mail ballots are safe and secure. Drop boxes are convenient and post office can be used as long as time is allocated to receive at the election office.
Early voting is a convenient way to vote and it usually takes minutes.

It's their own future they're voting on!!! National debt raises under every Republican rule. Let's flip some seats so they are not the ones paying for it forever with their taxes. They deserve to see some benefits and be able to afford life! Get them to register and vote!

Jerri Green to Hold Meet & Greet in Marion County

Marion County, TN — September 3, 2026 — Tennessee gubernatorial candidate Jerri Green will visit Marion County on Saturday, September 12, at 10:30 a.m. Central Time for a meet and greet at Raulston Woods and Gardens.

The event will give Marion County residents an opportunity to meet Green, hear directly from her about her campaign for Governor, and ask questions about the issues important to Tennessee families.

Green is a Memphis-raised attorney, mother, and public servant who currently serves on the Memphis City Council. She previously worked as a public defender and in Shelby County government, focusing much of her career on public service and access to legal and community resources.

Her campaign platform focuses on supporting working families, strengthening public schools, expanding healthcare access, common-sense gun laws, and protecting Tennessee's environment and natural resources. Her proposals include paid family leave, affordable childcare, increased teacher pay, expanded Medicaid with a focus on rural communities, and eliminating Tennessee's grocery tax.

The event is free and open to everyone, regardless of political party or viewpoint. Organizers encourage residents from all sides of the aisle to attend, meet the candidate, ask questions, and take part in a respectful conversation about the future of Tennessee.

Light refreshments will be served.

Yesterday- I raised my right hand.

And I meant every single word. I won't pretend this moment is just about me. It never has been.

This is about the grandmother in East Chattanooga who has lived in the same house for forty years and is fighting to stay.

The teacher at Tyner who pours everything into her students — and can't afford to live in the community she serves.

The child walking to school on a road with no sidewalk, praying a car doesn't come too close.

The small business owner on Brainerd Road who just needs somebody to show up for them the way they've shown up for this community.

Those are the people and all those in D5, I raised my hand for on yesterday!

My why has never changed. Not when it was hard. Not when I stepped away. Not when I came back.

It has always been people!!!

Not power. Not titles. Not politics. People!!!

D5 — you are the reason I ran. You are the reason I fought. You are the reason I stood in that room yesterday and made a promise before God and this community to serve with everything I have.

To my family —T, my love. My sons Jack and Austin. My Hershey Kisses and My Auntie.

You hold me up, pray over me, believe in me, and love me with so much grace.

You are my greatest gift. This is for you too.

To my volunteers, my supporters, my team —

You gave your time. Your energy. Your belief.

On days I was tired, you showed up.

On days I doubted, you reminded me why.

Yesterday belonged to you as much as it did to me.

To D5 —I see you. Every neighborhood. Every street. Every face.

This fascist regime is going to continue to claim a voter fraud narrative to create doubts. But factually, Elections administered by the state is the safest and most secure.

To avoid issues like moved polling places, VOTE EARLY!!! The earlier we can vote the less they can spin that lie!

SCHOOL BOARD LATEST: The Hamilton County School Board’s District 11 seat remains vacant after county commissioners reached a tie vote Wednesday night. The seat has been vacant since Jill Black resigned in August.

The proposed resolution would have allowed District 11 voters to choose a new representative on the November 3 ballot.⬇️
