Good evening Ranlo residents,

Starting Monday, June 8th, construction will begin on the South Ranlo Water Line Replacement Project. Crews will begin bringing in equipment and materials and will be staging them off E. Long Avenue. Please use caution while traveling in this area and be mindful of workers and construction traffic.

We are excited to see this project finally begin. This project has been over four years in the making and is long overdue for the South Ranlo area.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and support as we work to improve our water infrastructure and provide better service to our residents.

Thank you,
Town of Ranlo Public Works

Public Notice 🔔

The Catawba-Wateree River Basin remains under Stage 2 Drought Restrictions, and mandatory water conservation measures continue to be in effect. At this time, there has been no announcement from the Catawba-Wateree Drought Management Advisory Group (CW-DMAG) indicating when these restrictions will be lifted.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing drought conditions and the need to conserve water, the Ranlo Splash Pad will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

We understand this is disappointing, especially as summer approaches, and we appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation as we work together to protect our regional water supply.

We will continue to monitor updates from CW-DMAG and will provide additional information as it becomes available.

Thank you for your understanding and for doing your part to conserve water.

A meaningful night for our senior residents helped kick off our first Milltown Night of 2026!

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped bring the community together for an evening filled with music, conversation, bingo, and familiar faces.

Organic Soul the Band brought incredible energy throughout the night as residents enjoyed local food and shopped with craft vendors. One of the biggest highlights was senior bingo with Mayor Corey Creech calling games for prizes generously donated by local businesses. Seniors attending the event also received complimentary hot dog and drink plates as part of the celebration.

As we recognize Older Americans Month, events like this are an important reminder of how staying active, connected, and involved supports healthy aging. This year’s theme, “Champion Your Health,” focuses on wellness, independence, and strong community connections, all things we were proud to celebrate throughout the evening.

We’re already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for our June Milltown Night!

Dear Ranlo Residents and Business Owners,

Thank you for being patient with us while we undergo a major transition to a completely new financial and billing software. This upgrade is being paid for by the NC League of Municipalities and will bring a much easier customer experience to paying your bills. The transition will also bring in the ability to pay with a credit/debit card in office.

The below update is meant to hopefully fill in some gaps and resolve some confusion going on with the bills this month. First, we hear you. We know that this transition is not the easiest but be assured that we are working diligently to make it as easy as possible. There will be no late fees or cutoffs this month because of the update to the new system.

If you go into the old billing system, you may see a zero balance. You can do one of two things: 1) You can take your mailed bill and enter the amount due into the portal, and that will satisfy your payment. 2) You can stop by Town Hall to pay in person or at the drop-off box to pay the amount on your mailed bill.

If you call Town Hall and are unable to reach us the first time, please understand that we are working as hard as we can to answer every call that comes in. We have received a record amount of calls regarding bills, so we are working to get every call.

Next month, the new utility billing portal will be live. You will receive a link to that information in your upcoming water bill. A change in a major software is not an overnight process, and we are not placing that burden on the resident. Soon, this new system will be up and running, and you will have a much easier and more modern bill paying experience.

To reiterate, no one will be receiving a late fee or cutoff this month. We want to work with you. Thank you for working with us while we take steps to bring our offices into a more modern paying era.
