We are grateful to the following Bessemer City-area residents who answered our call to action to join the Steering Committee. This citizen-led Steering Committee was initiated to aid in brownfield community outreach and ensure that community involvement with environmental issues are carried forward in future Bessemer City planning, including brownfield redevelopment.
The Steering Committee met for the first time on Tuesday, April 14th and began discussing their priorities for brownfield redevelopment to complete a ranking sheet. Their responses will be used to create a weighted average for scoring future site assessments. We look forward to the ongoing collaboration!
