Our kindergarten, first, and second grade students had an amazing time experiencing the wonders of science thanks to Ms. Laurie Nixon’s chemistry students! 🧪✨

The high schoolers put on a series of exciting chemistry demonstrations that sparked so much excitement.

A huge thank you to Ms. Nixon and her Watauga High School students for sharing their knowledge, enthusiasm, and love of science with our K-2 classes.

To kick off summer and celebrate all the ways our brains have grown this year, our K–2 students enjoyed a special lemonade party! 🍋☀️

Students cooled off with ice-cold lemonade and had fun creating their own flavor combinations. They also enjoyed sweet treats, including candy and everyone’s favorite, popping boba! Afterward, we spent time together outdoors playing with bubbles, hula hoops, frisbees, and more!

It was a wonderful way to celebrate a year of learning, growth, and friendship as we head into summer break!

Watauga High School seniors returned to walk the halls of Green Valley last Friday one last time before graduation. Students and staff lined the halls with posters and Pom poms to cheer them on!
The seniors spent time answering questions from our current eighth graders about transitioning to high school and Coach Jones allowed them to have one more turn with everyone’s favorite parachute!
It was a special day filled with memories and full-circle moments. We are so proud of these students, including those who could not attend. No matter where life takes them, they will always be a GVS Eagle. 🦅💚💛

Second grade students brought history to life during their Wax Museum today! Each student chose a famous person or historical figure to research. Then, they created a biography brochure to tell about their person, and prepared a speech to present to an audience.

You can tell from these photos just how much hard work, creativity, and dedication they put into this project. We are so proud of our second grade Eagles! 🦅✨💚💛

Happy National Speech Language Pathologist Day!

Today we celebrate and thank our amazing school SLP, Mrs. Rozanski, along with her wonderful maternity leave substitutes, Mrs. Jones and Ms. Boogards!

Thank you for giving our students voices and teaching them the tools they need to grow and succeed. We know our kiddos love you just as much as we do. We are so grateful for all you do for our students, teachers, and community. 🗣️✨
