Title: Arrhythmia
Book Artists: Alain Co & Emiland Kray

"Arrhythmia is a collaborative artist book by Alain Co and Emiland Kray. The content of this book explores the clinging nature of past trauma and how those cycles persist within the lived realities of each artist. Pulled directly from the journals of Co and Kray, the text within this book shows hopelessness, violence, loneliness, worry, and fear in their most vulnerable states. This book was created with the intention that sharing these inner monologues could be a moment of recognition and comradery for individuals who suffer the same thoughts, harmful patterns, and compulsions. The book's size is a testament to this. Arrhythmia can fit within the palm of your hand and can be cradled by the pressure from your fingers as they wrap around it. The preciousness of these thoughts and the preciousness of this object go hand-in-hand. Furthermore, the bronze cast slipcase will change color due to oxidation the more it is handled with bare skin. Meaning that this piece's color will become richer and more nuanced if given physical affection over time, just as we strive to do as humans to each other everyday. This artwork through rawness and horrific honesty gives readers a chance to receive that vulnerability with firm acceptance and love." -- Artists' statement.

Title: GAPS
Book Artist: Edie Overturf

GAPS takes the viewer/reader on a ride through the chaos of healing. Thirty-eight pages of disarmingly colorful and playful imagery, accompanied by sections of prose, expose a not-uncommon experience of trauma and slow discovery. This book incorporates a variety of screenprint, relief print and linocut.

Title: Without Equality/Without Consent
Book Artist: Kate Nace Day

"Without Equality/Without Consent began almost a decade ago when I first saw the police booking photographs of ten young women who had been arrested for prostitution. . . Three women - Marie, Daisy, and Elizabeth - lent us their voices. . . When paired with black and white photographs of street scenes, city locations, and suburban neighborhoods, they create an overall quality of vulnerability and human presence. Each picture captures a location in a woman's arrest record. The photographs ask us to think about what happened in those places." "Without Equality/Without Consent is an unbound book composed of texts and photographic images. The pages may be unfolded, shuffled or read in any order." -- Introduction.

Title: Pathogenesis
Book Artist: Todd Thyberg

"This book as object looks at gun violence in America through the lens of disease. Pathogenesis is the process by which a disease or disorder develops. It can include factors which contribute not only to the onset of the disease or disorder, but also to its progression and maintenance. The pathogenic mechanisms of a disease (or condition) are set in motion by the underlying causes, which if controlled would allow the disease to be prevented. There are six hexagonal pages for each phase. Each of these pages are illustrated with images for that particular phase and overprinted with the underlying causes or pathogens. 42 pages including colophon. The book is bound in a 3-D printed pathogen with a bullet casing tray to hold the pages together. The binding is hand-painted and fitted with four different caliber slugs"
