🏆 CCSD School Nutrition is excited to announce our 8th Annual Parent Recipe Contest!

🥒 "Be Cool as a Cucumber: A Dill-icious Show Down!"

In our upcoming celebration of October as National Farm to School Month and Cucumber being named the 2026 Fruit of the Month, we're inviting CCSD parents to submit their favorite kid-friendly cucumber recipes for a chance to become a lunch menu star!

🏆 One winning recipe will be selected and featured on the October school lunch menu!

✅ Recipe Requirements:
🥒 Must include fresh cucumber
👩‍🍳 Must be suitable for preparation in a school kitchen
🚫 No fried or grilled recipes
📝 Six ingredients or fewer
😁 Most importantly... HAVE FUN!

📅 Recipe submissions are due September 16 at 4:00 p.m.

🌟 Way to go, way to shine—it’s Positive Office Referral time! 🌟

We LOVE celebrating our students who are caught doing amazing things! These students earned a Positive Office Referral for making great choices, showing leadership, working hard, and demonstrating our TRIBE 5 characteristics!

At the end of each month, one homeroom from every grade level will be recognized for having the BEST ATTENDANCE percentage in their grade! 🎉

The winning teacher’s name and attendance percentage will be proudly displayed in our hallway all month long! 📚👏

✨ We can’t wait to see who wins for September! 👀

Congratulations to our newest CCEF Grant recipients!

A huge congratulations to Ms. Haynes for receiving a CCEF Impact Grant and to Ms. Grella and Ms. Goss for receiving CCEF Rapid Grants!

We are so excited to see these grants put into action to support our BGSA students. Thank you to the Cherokee County Educational Foundation for continuing to invest in our teachers and schools!

Great things are happening at BGSA!

Our CILC teacher leaders kicked off the year with collaboration, data, reflection, and purposeful planning alongside district and Savvas leaders.

We are so proud of their commitment to lead, learn, and grow so they can better serve and support their teams and students.

We are incredibly proud of our 4th grade teachers and students for this outstanding achievement in mathematics!

Our formula for success adds up to great gains in our students' math mastery! Congratulations to Ball Ground ES STEM Academy fourth-grade math teachers for their students’ amazing 12.5-point gain over our School Board-established baseline goal for Georgia Milestones Assessment performance – lifting the school above the three-year goal! Our teachers are the best professionals in public education today and our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else! A huge shout-out to Action Church and Roswell United Methodist Church, and their generous supporters for donating food, school supplies, and clothing to help stock our school’s Care Closet! 🥫📚👕 Your kindness is making a meaningful difference for our students and families.

And a special thank-you to our amazing 4th graders, who jumped right in and helped unload all of the donations! 💪📦 We are so proud of their willingness to serve and lend a helping hand.

We are incredibly grateful for our community partners who continue to show our students what it means to care for others.
