🚒 The Balcones Heights Fire Department had SO much fun with the students of Maverick Elementary celebrating Community Helper Day earlier last week!

Our firefighters loved connecting with the students, sharing more about their important work, and showing them how firefighters help keep our community safe. Thank you to Maverick Elementary for inviting us to be part of such a fun and meaningful day! 🔥

🚒 Early last week, the Balcones Heights Fire Department received its new Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment!

This much-needed upgrade replaces outdated equipment that was not compatible with equipment used by neighboring fire departments, creating safety concerns during emergency responses and mutual aid operations.

At the City of Balcones Heights, the safety of our first responders is a top priority. This investment helps ensure our firefighters have the proper equipment to safely and effectively respond to emergencies while protecting our community. 👨🏻‍🚒

We extend our sincere appreciation to our residents and City Council members who supported this important investment in the safety of our firefighters and the community they serve. We would also like to thank HEAT Safety Equipment for the amazing demonstration!

🚒 Earlier today, the Balcones Heights Fire Department had a great time visiting students at Dellview Elementary School for Fire Prevention Week!

Our firefighters shared important fire safety tips and helped students learn how to stay safe in an emergency. We’re always excited to connect with young members of our community and make fire safety education fun and engaging! 👨🏻‍🚒

Thank you, Dellview Elementary, for having us! 🔥

🇺🇸 Earlier today, the Balcones Heights Fire Department had the honor of participating in Jefferson High School’s 9/11 Annual Memorial Ceremony.

As we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, we honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call that day.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our first responders who continue to serve and protect our community every day. Thank you for your courage, dedication, and commitment to keeping others safe.

We will never forget. 🗽
