No dawg left behind 🐶

Dogs love hiking and they trust that you know best. But every year some end up in real danger on the trail. Here are a few things to keep in mind when bringing them along:

Five-second rule ✋
Press the back of your hand to the ground. If you can’t hold it for five seconds it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.

Dog’s hiking list 🦮
• Leash (no more than 6 feet)
• Collar with tags
• Water
• Food/treats
• Plastic bags (for waste pickup)

Chef Orlando whipped up this savory campfire frito pie loaded with melted cheese, jalapenos, queso fresco, cilantro, salsa, and fresh lime. YUMMY!

All Texas State Parks follow county level burn bans so always check conditions directly with the park before heading out.
