White ibises mainly dine on fish, frogs, snakes, crabs, worms, and other wetland critters. They use their long, curved bills to probe through mud, soil, and shallow water like expert foragers.

Talk about early bird gets the worm… 🪱

It’s freakin’ bats!! 🦇

It’s , but we appreciate them all year long! Don’t think they’re only good for your spooky decorations, because they play a very important role in our ecosystem.

Even though we may not always see them, bats are hard at work all around the world each night! Catch bat viewings at Old Tunnel State Park until Oct. 31 📆

At Davis Mountains State Park you can find both rest and plenty of adventure!

Explore miles of trails, marvel at the night sky, learn about its history, and watch birds at the best little bird blind in the park.

Stay the night at Indian Lodge, a historic 39‑room motel in the park that offers a restaurant, swimming pool, and meeting rooms. 🏨
