Friday, September 4, there was an altercation at the High School football game between multiple students; no weapons were involved or found on any persons. It was brought to the attention of the administration, quickly dealt with, and is being addressed. During this time, information was being spread about a potential threat to Robinson School. The students did the right thing by bringing information they heard to administration and SRO's in attendance. Safety is a top priority at Aurora R8. In collaboration with SRO's and Aurora PD, the threat has been found to be unsubstantiated. We will still follow extra safety protocols and increase support to make sure everyone feels safe when we return to school Tuesday. Thank you for your understanding and concern in this matter. Free Breakfast and Lunch for All Aurora R8 Students

Aurora R8 is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) during the 2026–2027 school year. This means breakfast and lunch are available at no cost to every student enrolled in the district.

Families do not need to complete an application for free or reduced-price meals. All students may participate, regardless of household income or eligibility status.

Nutritious meals help students stay focused and ready to learn. We encourage families to have their children participate in the school breakfast and lunch programs.

Robinson School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Administrative Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year.

We are looking for an organized, professional individual who enjoys working with students, families, and staff while helping support the daily operations of the school.

The ideal candidate will:
• Serve students, families, and staff
• Support daily office operations
• Manage attendance and records
• Assist with bookkeeping and finances
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment

Previous office experience is preferred.

This is a 12-month position that includes vacation days, sick leave, a health insurance stipend, and a 4-day school week (Monday–Thursday).

Help keep Aurora R8 schools clean, safe, and ready for teaching and learning!

4M Custodial Services is hiring part-time team members for several positions throughout the district. Positions offer flexible scheduling, 4–6 hours per day, extra income, and a free pass to district sporting events.

Current openings include:

Pate: Restrooms
Robinson School: Tables, trash, and dusting
Aurora Junior High: Trash, tables, and restrooms
Aurora High School: Tables and trash (two positions)
Aurora High School: Floors (potential opening)

Aurora R8 staff kicked off the new school year with a day filled with learning, recognition and camaraderie!

The districtwide meeting began with the ringing of the bell and included welcoming new staff, celebrating years of service and perfect attendance, and hearing a fantastic speech from District Teacher of the Year Jennifer Brown.

Thank you to the Missouri Retired Teachers Association (MRTA) for awarding Nicole Blevins a grant to purchase science materials for her students!

As we prepare to welcome students, staff were reminded of the tremendous impact they have each day: build positive relationships, persevere through challenges, celebrate the wins and find joy in all you do.

We are excited for a great year at Aurora R8! Every minute matters, and we are in this together!
