This morning Altamont Fire Department assisted with Life Force on a show and tell day at the Altamont Boy Scout Camp. Kids where able to tour the medical helicopter and Fire Aparatus.

Tonight at training Altamont Fire & Rescue did rope training. They practiced how to tie knots, set up a 5:1 system and lowering yourself using the clutch system. VIDEOS IN COMMENTS.

Altamont Fire Department, has monthly training session Tonight Tuesday 8/11/26 @ 6pm. Anyone interested in joining the department is welcome to come observe and apply.

Altamont Fire Department teamed up with Sewannee Fire & Rescue for a in house rope training. Everyone came together as a team and got the job done. Great job everyone. Altamont Fire Department is constantly training to grow our skills & resources that we can bring back to our community.
