Due to the extreme cold temperatures, the Grundy County Courthouse will be closed today, January 26, 2026.

However, the Register of Deeds office will be available by phone 931-205-7115 or email [email protected] as long as the courthouse power and internet stay on, we can reach it remotely for help with deed copies and customer service work.

New Year’s Office Closure Notice

The Grundy County Register of Deeds Office will be closed on Thursday, January 1, and Friday, January 2, and will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026.

As we welcome in the New Year, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the citizens of Grundy County. It has been both an honor and a privilege to serve you, and we greatly appreciate the trust and confidence you place in us.
