With hunting season in NC quickly approaching, it's important to know that if fi****ms are in your home, they need to be locked, unloaded, and stored away from ammunition and out of reach of young kids.

At 1553 this afternoon East Side, Badin and Stanly Rescue were dispatched to an MVA Pin In on NC 740 near Rummage Rd. On arrival units noted 2 vehicles involved with heavy damage. With sadness one did not survive the collision. The other was quickly extricated and transported by SCEMS to a trauma center. Albemarle Fire was requested, but were able to be canceled with sufficient resources on hand.

U648, 6400, Sq. 64, Sq. 65, E651, E261, Sq.26, Rescue 70, 2 SCEMS units, and Supervisor.
Stanly Co. Sheriffs Office, and NCSHP.
We will update units if there are corrections.

We are close to putting our new engine into service. Alot of training has been conducted and drivers have been at the wheel. Waiting on some hose to arrive and get loaded.

We have cleared trees in the district. Clodfelter Rd. is cleared to 1 lane with multiple low hanging lines. Residents of CLODFELTER RD. Should use caution on your road.
There is another line of storms West of Charlotte that will hopefully lessen in strength. City Utilities have completed a damage assessment and are aware of the significant issues with the lines. There was widespread damage in Albemarle.

East Side Engine 651 and Drone 65 assisted Badin Volunteer Fire Department with an outside fire threatening a structure on Thompson Farm Rd this afternoon. It is still very dry. Hopefully some rain soon.
