With the conclusion of the election just two days away, voting was the focus of the Albany Banner Brigade's 26th banner drop today. The brigade provided these messages — "VOTE TINA KOTEK FOR GOV" and "VOTE BLUE FOR PEACE" — to I-5 traffic from the Santiam Highway overpass.

Oregon House District 15 candidate Joanna Robinson, donning a bumble bee costume, launched the "Halloween Canvass Extravanganza" this morning in Grand Prairie Park. Nearly 30 canvassers, a number of them in costume, participated in a joint morning canvass for Robinson and Albany City Council Ward 2 candidate Stacey Bartholomew. A joint canvass for Robinson and Albany City Council Ward 3 candidate Ramycia McGhee was held in the afternoon. State Senators Sara Gelser Blouin and Courtney Neron Misslin and State Rep. Sarah Finger McDonald showed up in support of Robinson, each speaking enthusiastically about the candidate.Joint canvasses for Robinson-McGhee and Robinson-Bartholomew are planned for 11 to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday, both starting from Grand Prairie Park. Gov. Tina Kotek joined Linn and Benton Neighborhood Leaders and other supporters for a meet-and-greet gathering Monday at Common Fields in Corvallis. The governor encouraged everyone to vote in the election that ends at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3.
