📢PUBLIC ADVISORY

The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office VIII (PSA-RSSO VIII) informs the public that there will be no transactions on 21 August 2026 (Friday) at all PSA Offices and Civil Registry System (CRS) Outlets in the region, pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025, declaring the date as a Special (Non-Working) Day throughout the country in commemoration of the death anniversary of former Senator Benigno S. Aquino Jr. Likewise, services at the National identification System Fixed Registration Center located at Gaisano Capital, Real Street, Tacloban City will also be suspended on the said date.

CRS clients with confirmed appointments scheduled on 21 August 2026 will be accommodated on the next working day upon the resumption of office operations.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Samar Provincial Statistical Office successfully conducted the rollout of the Administrative Petition for Correction Automated System (APCAS) to Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) across the Province of Samar. The activity aimed to enhance the capabilities of LCRO personnel in processing administrative petitions for correction and utilizing the APCAS platform, thereby improving the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of civil registration services.

𝐏𝐒𝐀 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐥s 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐀𝐏𝐂𝐀𝐒 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝟐𝟓 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐋𝐆𝐔𝐬

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Samar successfully conducted the roll-out of the Administrative Petition for Correction Automated System (APCAS) to capacitate Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) on the implementation of the system.

The roll-out was conducted in three batches. The first batch, held on 22–23 July 2026, was attended by participants from the municipalities of San Jose de Buan, Talalora, Tarangnan, Sta. Rita, Villareal, Pagsanghan, and City of Catbalogan City.

The second batch, conducted on 05–06 August 2026, was attended by representatives from Villareal, San Sebastian, San Jorge, Santa Margarita, Motiong, Jiabong, Paranas, Matuguinao, Tarangnan, and Marabut.

Meanwhile, the third batch, held on 17–18 August 2026, gathered participants from Daram, Hinabangan, Santo Niño, Calbiga, Gandara, Zumarraga, Almagro, Basey, Tagapul-an, and Calbayog City.
