We have just received the following notification from our friends at Trent Barton regarding temporary changes to the bus service over the next few days:

Melton Road (A606) will be closed between Wheatcroft Island and Cotgrave Lane on the following dates. During these times, the keyworth will be diverting via Bradmore Lane, A60 through Ruddington and Flawforth Lane in both directions.

Saturday 5 September – 5:30am to 1:00pm
Sunday 6 September – 7:00pm to 06:00am
Monday 7 September – 7:00pm to 06:00am
Tuesday 8 September – 7:30am to 7:00pm

During this time there will be no buses through Tollerton.

We expect the diversion route to be very busy on Saturday due to Forest playing at home at 3:00pm.

Please bear with us during the closures as there will be considerable delays to services.

KEYWORTH GREEN FESTIVAL
Centenary Lounge, this Saturday.

There will be two screenings of the People’s Emergency Briefing. This 50 minute film will be followed by a short discussion on the way forward but time may be limited if we have guest speakers in the Centenary Lounge.
Those wishing to see the film may walk in during the day but we would prefer them to book through Ticket Tailor. This is free of charge but enables us to broadcast discussion feedback or broadcast information about future events. Please note that due to occasional expletives we are restricting the film to over-16s.
Keyworth Green Festival 1 is live!

WILDFIRE RISK – PLEASE TAKE CARE

With dry conditions increasing the risk of wildfires, please take extra care when using our public rights of way.

• Stay on designated paths and follow local warnings.
• Do not light fires or use disposable BBQs.
• Take all rubbish home, including glass.
• Never drop ci******es or matches.
• Keep dogs under control and be mindful of livestock and wildlife.
• Please stay away from straw bales and do not climb on, move or damage them.

🚨 If you see smoke or a fire, move to a safe place and call 999. Do not attempt to tackle it yourself.

Parents & carers: Please talk to children and young people about the serious consequence of deliberately starting fires.
Setting fire to a straw bale or dry vegetation can have serious and potentially life-changing consequences.
Wildfires can spread incredibly quickly across dry grass, fields and woodland. What may seem like a harmless prank can quickly become a major emergency.
Your care and consideration can help protect our countryside, wildlife, local residents and emergency services.

Thank you for taking care.
