Fylde Council has a Befriending Service to support residents who are lonely or isolated. We're recruiting volunteers to offer companionship - whether that's over the phone, on a walk, or at a community group.

It doesn't matter if you've never volunteered before. What matters is that you care.

🚁 A bird's eye view of the Pier Link works!

Back in March we got a unique perspective on the improvements taking shape on the Pier Link project...

The Pier Link scheme will create a much-improved connection between St Annes town centre and the seafront, making it a more welcoming and enjoyable route for residents and visitors alike.

Things have moved on even further since this was filmed - we'll be sharing more updates on progress very soon 👀

⛔ The paddling pool at St Annes is currently closed for maintenance while our team carries out some repairs. We're working to reopen it as soon as possible and will keep you updated.

In the meantime, we'd like to take the opportunity to remind visitors that this is a free facility for everyone in the community to enjoy. We kindly ask all users to treat the pool and its surroundings with care and respect, so that families and little ones can continue making the most of this brilliant local amenity all summer long.

⚠️ Unfortunately, the Splash Park has had to close for the rest of today due to a further pump failure shortly after reopening this afternoon.

As a result, all remaining sessions today have been cancelled. Customers will be refunded directly by the team as we work to manage this proactively and give families as much notice as possible.

🚧 Lytham Promenade resurfacing works starting Monday 18 May.

We'll be carrying out resurfacing works along Lytham Promenade from Monday 1 June, with works expected to last up to three weeks.

The works will repair and upgrade sections of the footpath that have deteriorated over time, improving safety and extending its lifespan for years to come.

During this time, some sections of the footpath will be temporarily closed to pedestrians – signage will be in place to guide you. A contractor working area will also be set up on Lytham Green, adjacent to Bath Street Car Park.

Some noise is to be expected while works are underway, but local businesses will not be affected.
