Join us for a very Victorian Christmas

📍On Thursday 10 December, at 6.30pm, Gateshead Central Library, come with us to the 19th century and meet the Scrooge sisters!

Ethel is the grumpiest dressmaker in all the land, but Ermintrude would love a jolly Christmas party, with traditions old and new 🪩

Can the ghosts of Fashions Past, Present & Future persuade Ethel to dress her sister in a glorious ballgown ready to celebrate?

Join the Two Lucys as they present a lovely history of Christmas with a fabulous textile twist.
Marvellous replica garments will be worn, alongside a special display of original Victorian fashions 👗

If you're looking for perfect festive activity - look no further ✅

VR: Breast Screening Awareness

We are proud to champion digital innovation that demystifies breast screening. A new Virtual Reality experience is rolling out locally, designed to support women who find it difficult to engage with traditional breast screening services.

By taking VR headsets into public spaces and community hubs, health teams are removing the "fear of the unknown" that can prevent people from attending appointments. This sensitive, patient-centred tool ensures that everyone in our community can feel informed, reassured, and empowered about their health choices.
