Happy birthday to our Activities Co-ordinator Kerri 💙

Today we celebrated Kerri birthday 🎂 so only fitting we ate all the naughty things 😉

We hope you have a lovely weekend with your family 🙂

Looking after our indoor garden
Trips to the shops
Bingo
Quizzes
Memory games
Socialising activities and reminiscing about the good old days!

Its been another busy week at the day centre but we absolutely love it!

Our blue brigade have also been busy in the community supporting individuals in their homes and also getting them to their appointments etc. Our team work so hard and weare so lucky to have such an amazing team 💙

Let's go out 🌞

Here at UMW we encourage socialising and sometimes just having that one person who knows how you feel, takes time to understand what you enjoy and supporting you to gain confidence. Giving someone time is what we do its not a race its your time your way. Blue brigade ways never fail 💙

We love watching you grow in confidence, watching you smile, listening to you laugh and just being around you is infectious! We hope you never change your exactly where you need to be and so are we!

Under My Wing day centre held in bourne on Wherry's Lane offer a wide range of daily activities, our day centre users on friday enjoyed fish and chips before eyes down for a game of bingo which was requested by all 😁

Bingo is more than just a game—it can provide social, mental, and emotional benefits for many older adults.

If you want to know more or even attend the day centre, please get in touch, we also offer transportation service for pick ups and take home as well.

We love our games at our day centre 😀 its always fun and honestly so lovely to see. Laughter and smiles all round ☺️

We also love our local charity shops and we support each of them as we are always in them 😁 our Mr J enjoying the hats again! Very dapper!

Free Health Check Pop-In Session

Under My Wing Care and Support, in partnership with the PCN 4 Counties Team at Lakeside Healthcare, will be holding a free health check pop-in session on Friday 22nd May 2026.

A frailty nurse and care coordinator will be on hand to offer:

Blood pressure checks
Weight checks
General health advice and support

Here at Under My Wing along side all our full time care packages providing home care and support, we also have temporary care packages.

“temporary care package” usually means short-term support arranged for someone who needs help with daily living for a limited period — often after illness, hospital discharge, injury, bereavement, housing instability, or a sudden change in circumstances.

Last week one of our temporary care packages came to a finish and we recieved these lovely kind words ❤️
