At Under My Wing Care and Support Ltd, we believe that life doesn’t stop because you get older or need a little extra support. 🥰

Sometimes, it’s the simplest things that mean the most — going out for a drink, enjoying a lovely meal, visiting somewhere special, having a change of scenery, or simply sitting somewhere different and watching the world go by. ☕🍰🍷🌳

These moments might seem small to some, but they can mean EVERYTHING to someone who spends much of their time at home.

Behind every care professional is a person who is learning, developing, and growing — and we believe they deserve the right support to do that.

That’s why we’re proud to have our own in-house trainer (Dale), helping our team develop through a combination of theoretical knowledge, practical skills and regular refresher training. 📚👐

Because knowing what to do is important.

Understanding why we do it is just as important.

And having the opportunity to practise and apply that knowledge with confidence brings it all together.

Our in-house training supports our team to:

📚 Build and refresh theoretical knowledge
👐 Develop and practise practical skills
💪 Increase confidence and competence
🔄 Refresh important knowledge and techniques
❤️ Strengthen person-centred approaches
🌱 Continue professional development
🤝 Share learning and good practice within the team

Having an in-house trainer means learning can be relevant, accessible and responsive to the needs of our staff and the people we support.

It also means training doesn’t have to be seen as something we simply complete and tick off.

Learning is an ongoing part of providing quality care. 🌟
