Located in Nice city center, within 5 minutes walk from the Nice Ville train station, and Massena tramway stop, just behind the Palais de la Mediterranee

On Friday, the 19th of June at 15.30 author Wanjiku Kamau, a former Intel and Google executive will present her book: Out of the Loop, Into the Algorithm: How I Finally Made Friends With AI.

> Wanjiku will share a short reading and talk about what she's learned, then take your questions. Have something you've always wondered about AI? Send your question our way and she'll work it into the conversation.

Our book sale was less successful as usual, but we saw old friends and new people interested in our library 📖

The English Library of Nice is holding an open-air used book sale in front of Holy Trinity Nice, rue de la Buffa on Saturday, the 25th of April,from 9 -3pm. Hundreds of used paperbacks for sale at 1E /book.

The Library is a non-profit association of volunteers, receiving no subsidy or grants; the bi-annual book-sale finances our telephone/internet account.

The Library is preparing for the Christmas holiday period.
We will be closing our doors for two weeks at the end of the year.

Last day open: Saturday, 20 December 2025 from 10 to midday.
Reopening day: Wednesday 07 January 2026 from 3-5 in the afternoon.

Due to the closure, in December, our Readers have no limits on the number of books they can borrow, regardless their subscription.
Nothing better than a warm room, a good book and a nice drink to pass a pleasant wintry evening; if you have a cat or a dog to watch over you - consider yourself very lucky.
We certainly do...so come and pick up books to read, before our closure

It is with great pleasure that we announce the presentation of the latest book of Jorge Armenteros, our friend and part of our team.
His reading and talk will be followed by a glass offered by the Library, giving a chance to our Readers and Guest to chat and discuss his books
This is a free event in the Library.

Author, Jorge Armenteros - who is part of our Library volunteers’ team - is presenting his latest book tomorrow (the 16th of October) in the Masséna English bookshop, rue Gioffredo, from 5 to 7 pm.

We are very proud of his rapidly growing list of books, and we of course have copies in our Library, - our Readers can borrow them and get familiar with his work. Jorge will do a reading in our Library of his recent: ‘The Unwritten music of Life’ at a later date.

We had a very interesting talk this afternoon about writing and refining a book plot by David Munro. We all enjoyed his explanation of his personal journey to become an author and exploring creative sources.
