Congratulations to everyone who was elected, and to everyone who put their name forward. It takes courage and commitment to step up and put yourself out there.

Hi everyone,

I was born and raised in Flin Flon and have raised my three children here.

I have served as a city councillor for the past four years. During this time, I have learned a lot about the city and have built relationships throughout the community and the provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan. I believe these relationships will continue to benefit Flin Flon.

If re-elected, I will continue listening to Flin Flon residents, working to maintain the services we rely on, managing our budget responsibly and finding practical solutions to address safety concerns.

Congratulations to all Mayoral, City Council and School Trustee candidates for stepping forward and being willing to serve our community. Wishing everyone the best in this election.

It was great to hear from the community tonight. I appreciate everyone who came out to meet the candidates and ask questions.

Today, a lot of us are sitting around the table with family and friends, talking about what’s going on in town. The roads. Housing. Main Street. Jobs.

Great turnout today! Thanks to everyone who came out in support of reconciliation.

Please join us as we gather together in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, this Wednesday, September 30th, 2026.

We will gather at the Flin Flon Aboriginal Friendship Centre, Inc at 11:45am. The Walking the Home Trail of Truth walk will begin at 12:00pm, as we make our way together towards Pioneer Square.

The walk is expected to conclude at approximately 12:15pm at Pioneer Square, where we will come together for a meaningful ceremony and reflection.

This gathering is an opportunity for our community to come together in reflection, remembrance, learning, and healing, while honoring Survivors, those who never returned home, and their families and communities.

Everyone is welcome.

We invite you to walk with us, listen, reflect, and stand together as we continue the journey toward truth and reconciliation.

The City of Flin Flon 2026 Municipal Election is coming up! Residents will have the opportunity to vote for 1 Mayor and 6 Councillors for the term of November 2026 to November 2030.

Election Day: Wednesday, October 28, 2026
Voting Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Voting Location: Flin Flon City Hall – Council Chambers
All Polls 1–11

Advance Voting

For those who may be unable to attend their regular polling location on Election Day:

Wednesday, October 21, 2026
8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
City Hall Council Chambers, 20 First Avenue

Mobile voting stations will be available on Election Day at:

Flin Flon General Hospital
Rotary Court
Legion Housing
Hemlock Housing

Eligible electors who are unable to vote in person may apply to vote by sealed envelope (by mail). Applications should be made to the Senior Election Official no later than 3 days before Election Day. Electors are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Please remember that identification may be required to vote. Voters may be asked to provide one piece of government-issued photo identification or at least two other documents providing proof of identity.

𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲)

• 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝗱𝗯𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲, providing our community with an important new recreation facility.
• 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝘆. Despite a significant reduction in revenue from our grant-in-lieu agreement with Hudbay, we have worked to maintain services while carefully managing the City’s budget.
• 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, with work soon to be underway on this important piece of infrastructure.
• 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, including new bus shelters, sidewalk repairs, and a new public transit bus. Most of this work was made possible through grant funding.
• 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗭𝗼𝗼, preserving a valued community attraction for families and visitors.
• 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 through the work of the Community Safety Committee, bringing together Creighton, Denare Beach, and the provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
• 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘆𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 by allocating funding in the City budget to improve bylaw enforcement and community safety.
• 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲𝘀 and currently serve as 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲.
• 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗻 as the City-appointed director for the Flin Flon Junior Bombers.
• 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗮.

Over these four years, 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿. I have truly enjoyed meeting people, listening to their concerns, working through challenges, and building relationships throughout our region.

𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀. I appreciate the trust that has been placed in me and the opportunity to contribute to our community.
