The Sweetgrass Aboriginal Head Start Program is looking for an Early Childhood Educator/Child Care Assistant to join our team at our Flin Flon Site!
Our program provides early learning experiences for Indigenous children ages 3-5, focusing on:

✅ Health Promotion
✅ Nutrition
✅ Social Supports
✅ Parental & Family Involvement
As part of our team, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and culturally rich environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
📍 Location: Flin Flon, MB
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (39-40 weeks per year)
💰 Wage: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

🎨🧡 Honouring Truth and Reconciliation Through Community Art 🧡🎨

As we move into September and prepare to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Flin Flon Aboriginal Friendship Centre would like to acknowledge and thank the Community Youth Resource Centre, the many volunteers, artists, and the F.A.A.S.E. Committee (Flin Flon Area Against Sexual Exploitation) for their contributions and funding support toward these meaningful community art projects.

We encourage everyone to take some time to visit and appreciate the beautiful artwork featured throughout our community, including:

🧡 The Every Child Matters Sidewalk Mural located on Angel Avenue, between the Flin Flon Public Library and Canada Post. This year marks the 6th consecutive year that this meaningful community artwork has been created and displayed, continuing to honour the children, families, and Survivors impacted by Residential Schools.

❤️ The MMIW, Every Child Matters, and Seven Traditional Teachings Animals Murals located along MB-10A near the S-Corner by Rotary Park.

These projects serve as powerful reminders of the importance of Truth and Reconciliation, honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, celebrating Indigenous culture, and creating opportunities for reflection, learning, and community connection.

If you're out and about this month, we encourage you to stop by and have a look. There is some truly beautiful artwork on display, and we are grateful to everyone who helped bring these projects to life. Thank you to everyone who has contributed their time, talent, and support over the years to make these projects possible.
