COMMERCE: A massive congratulations to our Year Nine Commerce students on running their most successful and profitable Commerce stalls ever!

Our students have worked incredibly hard from start to finish, developing creative business ideas, planning their products, designing and making coupons and eye-catching posters, and preparing an amazing range of sweet treats and delicious food to sell to the BWSC Umina Campus at lunchtime.

From coming up with their initial business concepts to serving customers and managing their sales, our students have put their Commerce skills into real-world action!

It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm, creativity, teamwork and entrepreneurial spirit on display. The stalls were buzzing at lunchtime, with students and staff supporting the businesses and enjoying the delicious products on offer.

We are incredibly proud of the effort our Year Nine students put into this project. Their hard work has truly paid off, making this our most profitable and successful Commerce stall yet!

NGALIYA PROGRAM: Yesterday our students had a fantastic day participating in the RYSS’ Ngaliya Program.

We were lucky enough to visit Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary where students spent time learning about Australian animals, discovering what it’s like to work as a ranger and even had a go at throwing a boomerang.

A great day of hands-on learning and new experiences.

Thank you very much to RYSS for their support of our students, and to Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary for having us!

RUGBY LEAGUE: Congratulations to the Under 15 Boys Nines Rugby League team who walked away as the inaugural Roosters Cup champions and back to back nines winners today!

The boys went undefeated throughout the day and took down a tough St Brigid’s Catholic College team to win 15-12 in the grand final.

A courageous effort in the hottest conditions we’ve seen in months.

Well done, boys. And, congratulations, Mr Ford.

NATIONAL FINALS 2026: Last night, our Winged Warriors took to the floor at the National Finals, and while we didn’t come away with a placing, I could not be more proud of this team!

Being part of the Winged Warriors has never been just about winning medals.

It’s about the early mornings. It’s about turning up when you’re tired. It’s about learning to trust the person beside you.
It’s about supporting each other through the good days and the hard ones. It’s about falling, getting back up and trying again. It’s about friendships, memories, confidence, resilience and being part of something bigger than yourself.

And last night, these girls left absolutely everything they had on that floor. They performed the routine they had worked so incredibly hard for and gave the best performance they possibly could on the night. I couldn’t have asked for anything more from them.

A competition result can never fully capture the amount of growth, courage, commitment and hard work that goes into preparing for a moment like this.

I hope they walk away from Nationals knowing that their achievement is so much bigger than a placing. They should be incredibly proud of themselves and of each other.

To my Winged Warriors, thank you for trusting me, challenging yourselves, showing up, supporting one another and making this season so special. Watching you grow throughout the year has been one of my favourite parts of coaching you.

The medal may not have been ours this time, but the memories, friendships and lessons will stay with us long after the competition is over.

So incredibly proud of you!

You gave it everything. And that is something worth celebrating.

Congratulations to the Woy Woy Campus team who were crowned National Champions!

-Miss Cummins
