🚍 Free patient transport – Community Transport Early Intervention Program 🚍

Did you know that eligible older people (and their Carers) in the Northern Sydney region can get free transport to attend local health, wellbeing and social activities when they are not already linked with Community Transport. This is for transport is from home to appointments such as GP, allied health, wellbeing programs or social outings.

The Dementia Australia Library team have chosen “Next of Kin” as the April Pick of the Month.

Written by Casey Beros and drawing on her experience caring for her father, this book offers clear, empathetic advice for tackling the medical, legal, physical and emotional challenges of caring for someone close to you.

Casey shares everything she learnt on her journey caring for her father, as well as insights from other carers and medical professionals.

“Next of Kin” is practical, compassionate and full of advice on how to navigate loss and strategies for self-care.
